These short-form samples are designed to show how I approach different genres, characters, and storytelling styles in real audiobook narration.

I love the tension that lives underneath the words—the thing a character isn’t saying, the detail that suddenly feels wrong, the moment you realize you may not be able to trust what you thought you knew. I let the unease build naturally, without giving away the game too soon.
True Crime
Measured · Intense · Controlled
True crime doesn’t need manufactured drama—the story already has it. I keep the delivery controlled and grounded, letting the facts, human stakes, and unsettling details carry their own weight while building tension without sensationalizing them.
Urban Fantasy / Paranormal Romance
Witty · Bold · Character-driven
Give me supernatural trouble, complicated relationships, dangerous secrets, and a protagonist with enough attitude to make questionable decisions interesting. I lean into character, chemistry, humor, and momentum while keeping the world believable enough to disappear into.
Romance
Warm · Intimate · Emotionally nuanced
Romance lives in the details—the hesitation before an answer, the joke that means more than it should, the things characters want but aren’t quite ready to say. I give those moments room to breathe so the connection feels earned rather than performed.
Science Fiction
Atmospheric • Intelligent • Immersive
Strange worlds still need to feel real. Whether the story reaches across galaxies, into a speculative future, or somewhere considerably darker, I ground unfamiliar worlds in character and emotion—then let the story take us somewhere we’ve never been.
Children’s / Middle Grades
Warm • Playful • Expressive
Young listeners know when you’re talking down to them. I don’t. I bring energy, distinct characters, humor, and a sense of play while keeping the storytelling grounded enough for the story—not the performance—to stay in charge.
Memoir
Intimate • Grounded • Sincere
A memoir belongs to the person who lived it. My job is to carry their words with warmth, honesty, and emotional presence without stepping between the author and the listener. The voice serves the story—not the other way around.
Nonfiction
Calm • Clear • Confident
Complex doesn’t have to mean difficult to listen to. My background in science and education comes in handy here: I look for the structure and meaning inside complicated material and deliver it with clarity, curiosity, and a conversational rhythm that keeps the listener with me.
Self-Help / Personal Development
Clear · Encouraging · Grounded
Encouragement works better when it sounds like it comes from a real person. I keep self-help narration warm, conversational, and direct—supportive without becoming preachy, overly polished, or relentlessly inspirational.
